Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him break into mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was made available through La Industria Inc., a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. He worked together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year came out with his second album, the charting Dopamina. He also appeared as a duo TINI for her viral online single Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo came from a household of music both his parents are both musicians. In his interviews, he said the importance of music as a requirement. While a youngster, he played the ukulele guitar and the piano. While his initial career choice was to become a veterinarian the brother Julian convinced him to take singing classes with an Cuban instructor and as a consequence of him discovering his gift as a performer changed the direction of his life.
